The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will battle it out in Miami for the 54th Super Bowl on Sunday, but plenty of people will be watching the action in Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa bars are expecting a large turnout for the game and are planning accordingly to make sure clients have a good time. Innisfree Irish Pub is going to be fully staffed and will have various drink specials, and the new sports bar, Twelve 25, will have a DJ and will be launching their new signature drink: the tipsy elephant.

“This is our first time doing the Super Bowl here on the strip, so we think it’s going to be very, very live,” said Jay Jarrett, one of the owners of Twelve 25.

Whether you’re going to a bar to watch the game or work it, people are thrilled.

“We always have a good crowd, good clientele for big games like this,” Innisfree Irish Pub bartender Parker Keller said. “We’re all expecting to have a good time, the staff is excited, everyone’s excited.”

Everyone can guess who will win, but they will have to wait and see which team ends up on top.
