UPDATE: MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER IN WEDNESDAY SHOOTING

UPDATE AUG. 3, 2017: Investigators say they’ve charged Jeremy Delvonte Hardaway, 24, with attempted murder for the Mid City Station shooting on Greensboro Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Hardaway turned himself in to investigators this morning, police said, and will be held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $60,000 bond.

The Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that happened this afternoon at Mid City Station on Greensboro Avenue.

Authorities said the victim is a 21-year-old man who was taken in a car to his home on Seventh Street after the shooting, then was taken to the hospital.

The victim suffered non life-threatening injuries in the shooting.

Homicide unit investigators said they recovered several shell casings and other evidence at the crime scene, and spoke with several witnesses who identified a suspect and another witness.

Investigators said it appears the victim and suspect know each other, and the shooting was the result of a dispute between the two.
