TPD TO MOVE TO TEMPORARY LOCATION FOR RENOVATIONS, REPAIRS

Jan. 6, 2020 marks the first day that the Tuscaloosa Police Department will move to its temporary location at 2501 E Hargrove Rd.

The department will stay in the old Oakhill School building for about two years while renovations and repairs are done on the original department building. According to Lt. Teena Richardson, Police Administration, Records, Traffic Divisions and the Investigative Divisions will be housed at this location.

The Records Division will be closed from Monday, Jan. 6 to Wednesday, Jan. 8. It will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 8 a.m. at the new location.

The Police Department will continue to function and respond to calls during the move.
