The schedule for the Winston-Salem Super Regional has been set for this weekend.
The first game of the series between No. 1 seed Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Alabama Crimson Tide is Saturday at 11 a.m.
Times for Game 2 on Sunday and the only-if-necessary Game 3 on Monday are still undetermined, as the Tide looks for its first College World Series appearance this century.
With a record of 43-19, Alabama has its best record since 2006 and hosted a regional for the first time since then. They won three straight games during the weekend’s Tuscaloosa regional against Nicholls State, Troy University and Boston College.
The team meets Wake Forest, which sports a 50-10 record, this weekend coming off its dominant performance in its home regional where they outscored opponents 48-7 in three games.
It will take a complete team performance by Alabama to take two out of three games in David F. Couch Park in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, this weekend.
Still, the the entire series will be available to watch on TV, so fans who can’t make the long commute to North Carolina can still support the team from home for the program’s first appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament since 2010.
