TIDE PICKS UP FIRST 2021 COMMITMENT FROM TEXAS DEFENSIVE BACK

Alabama added to its 2020 recruiting class over the weekend, but on Monday the Crimson Tide picked up its first commitment in the 2021 cycle with a pledge from cornerback Latrell McCutchin.

The Austin, Texas native announced his commitment to Alabama via Twitter.

The 6-foot-1, 176-pound prospect is a 4-star prospect and the No. 7 cornerback in his class, according to 247Sports ranking. He also received heavy interest from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and hometown school Texas, but chose the Crimson Tide after visiting Tuscaloosa this past weekend.

McCutchin is the first player to join Alabama’s 2021 class. The Crimson Tide’s 2020 class is currently ranked second behind Clemson.
