Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats continued to build his roster Sunday with the addition of transfer point guard Jahvon Quinerly. A former 5-star prospect, Quinerly is coming to Tuscaloosa after a one-year stint at Villanova.

Quinerly wasn’t able to make a major impact with the Wildcats in his freshman season, averaging 3.2 points per game and struggling to earn playing time late in the season. However, Quinerly’s talent and potential are undeniable and a fresh start with the Crimson Tide could be precisely what he needs to jumpstart his college career.

Unless Quinerly is able to obtain a waiver, he will have to sit out a year at Alabama. The Crimson Tide now have a loaded backcourt with Kira Lewis, James Bolden and more on the roster. Quinerly could be the last addition to Alabama’s 2019-20 roster.
