Thompson Takes Care of Tuscaloosa County in Region Opener

The Thompson Warriors proved their dominance in their first region game against the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats, ultimately winning 49-7.

The Warrior’s high powered offense, led by quarterback Connor Harrell, posted 42 points in the first half.

Late in the second quarter Harrell found Ryan Peppins for a 70-yard touchdown catch that closed out the half.

Tuscaloosa County’s only touchdown came in the fourth quarter as running back Damien Taylor had a 40-yard carry.

Thompson advances to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in Class 7A, Region three.

Tuscaloosa County falls to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in region play.

This week, the Warriors travel to Spain Park to take on the Jaguars and Tuscaloosa County hosts Hewitt-Trussville at home.
