THIEVES STEAL DOZENS OF GUNS FROM LOCAL SPORTING GOODS STORE

Woods And Water

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Tuscaloosa Police Department are offering a reward for information after thieves broke into a sporting goods store and made off with dozens of firearms.

Woods and Water on Summit Ridge lost at least 40 guns in the burglary.

There’s a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft.

“We have an increase of robberies that are going on in the city, and we want to get this case solved and locate all those missing weapons from not only Woods and Water but Plus One Tactical as well before they hit the streets,” said Tuscaloosa Police Lt. Teena Richardson.

Richardson said when Woods and Water workers complete an inventory of the store, they’ll know exactly how many guns the thieves stole, along with their worth and serial numbers.
