THERE’S STILL TIME TO APPLY FOR AN ABSENTEE BALLOT

There are three months before the Alabama primary runoff election on July 14, and Secretary of State John Merrill is reminding residents there are 84 days left to apply for an absentee ballot.

Merrill said he encourages anyone who has concerns over spreading or contracting coronavirus to apply for and cast an absentee ballot.

You can request a ballot at sos.alabama.gov, or you can call Merrill’s office at 334-242-7210.

Requests are due by July 9.

The deadline to register to vote is Monday, June 29.

Absentee ballots must be returned by July 13.
