By WVUA 23 Web Writer Erica Wright

Theatre Tuscaloosa and Tuscaloosa Children’s Theatre will partner to present theatre camp for the sixth consecutive summer.

The summer day camp will be Monday through Friday beginning June 19 through June 30 from 8:15 a.m. to noon.

Campers will learn acting, dace, music, improvisation, stage makeup, costume design and audition tips. Camp is offered to students who are in kindergarten through 11th grade.

Campers are divided into five different age groups and will rotate through four different classes each day. The cost of registration is $262 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt. Registration is limited to 20 campers per age group and is given on a first-come-first-served basis.

Camp instructors are veteran theater professionals who have shown their talents both on stage and off. The camp will welcome new instructor, Rhonda Wooley this year and she will be joined by veteran instructors Brent Jones, Lindsey Jones, Merry Livingston and Jeanette Waterman. They will share knowledge and personal experiences with campers through group exercises and interactive projects. At the end of camp, students will be able to show all they’ve learned in a showcase.
