Thanksgiving Day scuffle sends suspect to jail on assault charges

A Thanksgiving-day dispute led to the arrest of a man for second-degree assault and domestic violence assault.

Tuscaloosa Police were called to Forester Gardens apartments on James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway just after 8 a.m. Thursday, where 36-year-old Pasha Darget was accused of punching a 46-year-old woman, biting a 22-year-old man and using a kitchen knife to cut the man on his hand.

Darget was taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail Thursday afternoon. The victims were treated for minor injuries at DCH Regional Medical Center.
