Temporary Emergency Services in dire need of space heaters

Space Heater Need00000000

Temporary Emergency Services in Tuscaloosa helps those in need bundle up and keep warm when the temperatures drop thanks to donations from people who have the means.

But right now, the organization is in desperate need of space heaters.

TES Executive Director Karen Thompson-Jackson said it’s times like these when they most need the community’s help.

“What we ask the community to do is to step up,” Thompson-Jackson said. “Show a little love and a little warmth by donating a heater. You can call us, and we can come pick up the heater. It is just really critical that we keep our loved ones and our community warm.”

If you’re interested in donating, you can reach Temporary Emergency Services by calling 205-758-5535. Their location at 1705 15th St. in Tuscaloosa is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. through at least 5 p.m. Donations can be dropped off during business hours.

TES is also looking for winter coat and blanket donations.
