TEENS AND ADULT CHARGED IN ASPEN VILLAGE MURDER
Three men have been charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Gregorie Somerville. They are 22-year-old Trevoris Sheppard, 17-year-old Marquell Underwood and 16-year-old Samuel Sanders.
They will all be tried as adults.
Authorities found 25-year-old Gregorie Somerville’s body lying partially outside the drivers seat of his girlfriend’s car early yesterday at Aspen Village Apartments.
A single forty caliber shot gun shell casing was found near the vehicle.
Investigators say the victim was lured there to sell marijuana.
The three suspects had already planned to rob Somerville.
Once he arrived, he was shot and killed. The suspects took Somerville’s shorts, cell phone and a quantity of marijuana from the vehicle.
Captain Gary Hood with Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide unit tells me in a sense, four young men’s lives have now been taken.
Hood says no weapon has been recovered at this time.
There could be more arrests made in the case.
