TED CRUZ APPEARING AT SOLD-OUT EVENT TONIGHT IN TUSCALOOSA
Yet another presidential candidate is making an appearance in Alabama.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is the keynote speaker for the ninth annual Lincoln-Reagan dinner tonight, presented by the The Tuscaloosa County Republican Party.
Cruz was elected to the senate in 2012 and says he’s a fighter for limited government and economic growth. The sold-out event is at Bryant-Denny Stadium, and Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks will also be there.
Jim Zeanah, County chair of the TCRP says the group won’t be able to bring all the presidential candidates to Tuscaloosa, but that they’ll try to bring as many as they can to West Alabama.
“Whether it happens to be your candidate or not, it’s a great opportunity to get out and hear his point of view,” Zeanah says.
The Tuscaloosa County Republican Party hosts the dinner each year in honor of past presidents Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan.
