TDK RENEWS UA PARTNERSHIP
The University of Alabama will soon play a larger role in the development of smaller technology.
TDK is strengthening its existing relationship with UA, thanks to the Center for Materials for Information Technology. The group contributes to everyday technology improvements, thanks to magnetics and research done by Dr. Takao Suzuki and the center’s staff.
Magnetics are essential to modern technology for smartphones and hard drives.
The department is made up of 41 faculty members from seven university departments. Another faculty position is being added in the fall thanks to the new agreement.
