TAILGATING ON THE QUAD

Thousands of fans gather on the quad for one common goal…tailgating.

The smell of barbecue in the air, the smoke that fills the sky, its a scene you have to see in person to understand the life of SEC tailgating. WVUA 23’s Yostina Banoub found one unique tailgate that attracts lots of eyes.

Kevin Crawford has been tailgating in the same spot for 8 years and proudly calls it Crawford’s corner. His tailgate is unique because he collects Alabama car flags in different way.”every one of the flags that I have around my tent, which I’ve had as many as 300, I have found on the side of the road after football games, whether they’ve fallen off cars, broken of cars, on interstates.” Crawford will do anything to save an Alabama flag because he believes, that kind of memorabilia shouldn’t be left behind.

Crawford has a feeling he will hit the jackpot after the Alabama vs. Ole Miss game. Maybe we’ll check in with him and see.
