Suspects in Louisiana burglary, fire captured in Tuscaloosa

Two people wanted in connection with a burglary and fire at a Louisiana official’s home last week were captured Wednesday in Tuscaloosa.

Robert Kelly and Angela Goodfellow, both 43, are accused of breaking into the home of Louisiana Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, last week. They’re accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of sports memorabilia, rare coins and other collectibles, as well as setting the house on fire.

Both are being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail and are awaiting extradition to Louisiana on burglary and arson charges.

They were captured after Tuscaloosa Police learned a vehicle occupied by the suspects was in the area of Beauty Mark on Skyland Boulevard. There, police located the suspects and took them into custody.
