SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER POLICE CATCH HIM IN THE ACT
A 21-year-old man is behind bars after police say they caught him attempting to force his way into a business at the Merchant’s Walk in Tuscaloosa.
Investigators say they were following up on reports of burglaries in the area, and noticed a pattern emerging, so they set up surveillance in the area. Late Tuesday night, police say the suspect arrived and attempt to force his way into a business, so they arrested him.
During the investigation, police say they discovered the suspect was a former employee of the business, and that a search of his vehicle revealed Adderall pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Wesley Christopher McIntyre, 21, of Tuscaloosa is under arrest on charges of attempted burglary, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say more charges could be coming.
