A home in Northport near Lake Tuscaloosa was badly damaged from fire Sunday evening.
Carroll’s Creek Fire Protection District posted a photo on their Facebook page of the fully engulfed building.
Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and NorthStar EMS came to assist Carroll’s Creek firefighters, who arrived at the scene soon after the call came in just before 8:30 p.m.
A neighbor said they called 911 after seeing a huge flame erupt from their neighbor’s garage. The home’s residents got home soon after.
Firefighters advised the neighbors to get out of their house in case the fire began spreading.
