Storms rolling through northern Alabama on Monday night, March 19, caused damage in several communities, including the city of Russellville.

According to the National Weather Service, there were wind gusts up to 25 mph causing damage in the city located about an hour west of Huntsville.

Several businesses along Highway 43 were damaged, including Waffle House, with part of the sign from the restaurant ending up hanging from a nearby power line. Other structures impacted included the Alabama Central Credit Union.

The winds also knocked down trees near Washington Avenue and Highway 43, though no injuries have been reported.
