Storm roundup: Damage reports, important information

 

Here’s what we currently know from area reports regarding storm damage around West Alabama.

Greene County

Eutaw

 

Eutaw city leaders are confirming storm damage in the area from Thursday morning.

Affected areas include Woodfield Avenue and Mesopotamia Street, said Certified Operator Corey Martin. Trees and power lines are down in the area, and first responders are working to clear the areas.

City leaders are requesting residents stay off the streets, and anyone who needs to take shelter is encouraged to go to the RH Young Community Center.

Hale County

Greensboro

Hale County Emergency Management Agency Director Russell Weeden has told WVUA 23 that damage in Greensboro may be extensive.

WVUA 23 Reporter Mary Barron and Videographer Keith Dobbins are detailing the damage in Greensboro.

 

Oak Hill

No reported injuries in Oak Village, where a potential tornado did damage to several mobile homes in the area.
