Governor Robert Bentley along with a member of the Alabama Forestry Commission announced on Monday that a statewide Drought Emergency “No Burn” Order has been lifted.

The recent rainfall the state has received over the last week has reduced the threat of dangerous wildfires. Officials first put the ban into place in early November as the state saw no rain for over 60 plus days in most areas.
