Several years ago, the Sprayberry program relocated from its original facility into the former Lloyd Wood Middle School.

Tuscaloosa County superinterintendent Walter Davie said the disability program outgrew the old facility, and they are happy in their new building and to see what will come next on the property.

“The former Sprayberry Center is really not of great use to us for what we could do for our school program, so we’ve had it up for sale for a while now,” Davie said. “We have had a couple of contacts over the last couple of years but we’ve now got a contract with Taylor Properties, LLC.

There is no word yet from Taylor Properties on what will happen with the property. Sprayberry shares the Lloyd Wood Education Center with the grad academy.
