The Sprayberry Education Center is hosting its 12th annual Art Show and Silent Auction on Thursday in the Northport Civic Center. The event starts at 6 p.m. and admission is free.

Sprayberry is moving from Rice Mine Road to the former Lloyd Wood Middle School in the fall. The silent auction is one of the biggest fundraisers for the school. The money raised goes toward buying special orthopedic equipment for adaptive play areas and classrooms at the new building.

Sprayberry Principal Neal Guy said the event is one of their most important.

“It is huge,” Guy said. “We are very very excited about what the county board is doing to support us and what our community is doing to support us and we are very looking greatly forward to the new building.”
