SPOUSES-TO-BE GOT AHEAD ON WEDDING PLANNING WITH HELP OF 17TH ANNUAL BRIDAL SHOW
For those who are looking to tie the knot this year, Tuscaloosa businesses want to show how they can contribute to this year’s wedding season.
The Bryant Conference Center and iHeartRadio hosted the 17th annual Classic Bridal Show on Jan. 26. And while there is no specific season to say yes to the dress, that did not stop vendors from coming together to talk all things nuptials.
Many business owners came out to showcase their services, from cakes and flowers to, of course, dresses. Kate Reager, an on-air personality for 94.1 ZBQ, explained the timing and importance of offering such a fair.
“Newly-engaged brides over the holidays enjoy coming out, finding their different vendors from florists to bakers, sometimes even find their dresses here,” she said.
Bride-to-be Heather Spires agreed, mentioning how helpful the event is to her as she plans for her special day.
“[You get] ideas of other people’s weddings and what they have done in the past, and different foods because who doesn’t like to eat at a wedding?” Spires said. “And the different beautiful dresses … A lot of people offer plus-size dresses.”
Participants were able to walk around and take photos of displays, sample sweets and speak with vendors about how they can contribute to their wedding. There was even a fashion show, whose models showed off a variety of dresses and tuxedos.
