The Alabama versus Auburn rivalry isn’t just reserved for Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Special Olympics brought the Iron Bowl to Tuscaloosa for a match-up of their own.
The unified sports program pairs athletes with a partner, and as a team they took the field to take down Auburn.
“This is a tremendous experience for our athletes,” said Executive Director Bob Bushong. “It allows them to interact and compete with other people who are really good athletes and allows them to see what they can do if they really try their best.”
