The Alabama Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will host its Spaghetti Plate Fundraiser this Friday.

The fundraiser will be held at the Tabernacle AME Zion Church. People can come enjoy a catered spaghetti meal from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Pet Pantry to buy food for animals and their families.

Pet Pantry provides assistance to low-income families in West Alabama with free cat and dog food.

Myra Alexander, director of ALSPCA Pet Pantry, said the fundraiser not only helps provide food but also raises awareness.

“There are so many other people that need our help that are going hungry because they want to make sure their pets are fed,” Alexander said. “We were so blessed to have Tabernacle AME Zion Church open their doors as a community outreach for us.”

If you can’t make it to the church event, to-go orders can also be placed at 205-575-CHOW. Plates are $10 each.
