SOUTH ALABAMA STILL UNDER HEAT ADVISORY

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) – The National Weather Service says south Alabama is still broiling under dangerously hot temperatures.

Forecasters say the air temperature will combine with humidity to make it feel like it’s as hot as 112 degrees in southwestern Alabama on Wednesday.

The weather service has issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. for the area. Officials say heat exhaustion and heat stroke are possible for anyone who’s outside too long without hydration.

Actual temperatures are predicted in the low 90s on the coast and the upper 90s inland, with little chance of rain.

Temperatures won’t be as bad for the northern two-thirds of the state. There’s a possibility of rain as a weak cold front moves through, and the heat index is predicted to be around 100 degrees.
