Red Shoe Pic00000000

Thursday night was the second annual red shoe affair hosted by the Soroptomist Club.

Soroptimist is a global women’s organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.
The evening included great food, good music, and of course, lots of fun red shoes.
Soroptimist members like Kacie Obradovich hope the Red Shoe Affair will raise money for a serious cause in our community.
“With the funds tonight we hope to put 50 women in our community through cardiovascular rehab following a serious heart event,” Obradovich told our crew.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women, killing almost one woman every minute.
How did red shoes fit into it all?
“Red is the color known for heart disease and we wanted to make this a fun event,” said Soroptimist Casey Johnson.
The goal for the evening was $5,000, which would save the lives of those who can’t afford proper treatment.
