SOLD BABY ITEMS COULD CONTAIN METH RESIDUE

One Coaling mother is concerned some items being sold on local garage sale sites may be contaminated with chemicals and residue from meth. Two infants were taken into DHR custody in May after a meth bust on Canyon Lake Road in Cottondale. We’re told the children belong to Sunnie Leighanne Ward, one of the women arrested during the bust. Madeline Brown saw Ward had been selling baby items on Facebook. She says she wants to warn other parents that these items could come from an unsafe environment.
Some of the items posted by Ward on the site are diapers, bottles, a breast pump, clothing and a car seat.
Brown has since taken to an online watch group page to bring attention to the matter. Ward was charged with Chemical Endangerment of a Child, Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance and Trafficking Meth..
