SHOOTING OUTSIDE BIRMINGHAM LOUNGE LEAVES 1 DEAD, 1 WOUNDED

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) – Police in Birmingham say an overnight shooting has left one man dead and another person wounded.

Authorities said the gunfire happened around 3 a.m. outside East Birmingham Lounge.

Birmingham police Lt. Sean Edwards said a man was shot multiple times after an altercation started in the club.

Police said one of the wounded people ran to a nearby fire station, where he died. They say the second person walked into UAB Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

No arrests were immediately made.
