SHELTON STATE TO HOST DRIVE THROUGH NURSING PINNING

Shelton State

This Thursday, Shelton State Community College will host a drive through nursing pinning ceremony for the spring 2020 nursing class. The ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. in front of the college’s Martin Campus.

“Because many of our nursing graduates have job offers at the time of graduation, our window for recognition is small,” Associate Dean for Health Services Gladys Hill said. “We want to celebrate the accomplishments of our students, and this is a creative way to accomplish that under the current circumstances.”

In compliance with social distancing, the ceremony is restricted to the pinning candidate and their guests in a single vehicle.

Campus visitors will have their temperature taken before entering the building. All in attendance must wear a facial covering. Media outlets that cover the ceremony are asked to arrive on campus by 5:40 p.m.
