TUSCALOOSA – The Shelton State Alumni Association brought the laughs with a fundraiser comedy show at the Bean Brown Theatre on the Shelton State campus. Allen Mallory, a longtime Shelton State faculty member, uses humor to share his experiences with children and families.

Shannon Chandler, Director of Development, said this is Mallory’s 12th year heading their fundraising event and knows he always brings the laughs,

“Over 25 years of childhood development and education experience here on campus and those are actually the classes that he teaches,” she said. “So he comes in contact with nursing students, child development students, so any stories like that where children are concerned he’s dealt with it, which is where a lot of his comedy comes from.”

All proceeds from the event benefit the Alumni Association scholarships for adult students.
