SHELTON STATE BASEBALL COACH JOINS THE 1,000-WIN CLUB

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Bobby Sprowl, Shelton State Community College head baseball coach was honored as one of eight head coaches in the history of the state of Alabama to win 1,000 games, on Saturday March 30, 2019.

Defeating the Lawson State Community College in a game one doubleheader, the Buccaneers took a 9-0 win at home. Sprowl achieves this milestone after twenty-nine seasons at the forefront of the Shelton State baseball program.

“The good Lord has really blessed me with good health, you can’t do it without good health,” Sprowl said. “I’ve got a great family, outstanding players and super assistant coaches, it all works in one.”

Shelton State won the night cap 8-1, making his career record stand at 1,001-597 in three decades as a Shelton State head coach.
