Shelton State baseball closes out Birmingham Southern

Shelton State baseball hosted Birmingham Southern Tuesday and won 11-1 to advance its record of 18-16.

In the bottom of the second inning, the Buccaneers’ Warren Rudman knocked one through the infield.

Corbin Grantham gets home from second base, giving Shelton its first run of the game.

The Buccaneers’ Christian Pritchett hits one past the third baseman to bring in Flaco Perez in the bottom of the third.

Shelton’s Davis Randolf got a short hit to third base, and teammate Cam Brock made a run for it from third. He was safe at home to advance the lead.

Brock was up to bat in the bottom of the fifth. He sent it out to deep left field to bring in three more runs for Shelton.

Shelton State will be back in action against Snead State at home April 6 at 2 p.m.
