Shelton State Community College has new and improved access to transferring to Alabama State University.

Presidents from Alabama State University, a four-year university based out of Montgomery, and Shelton State met today to sign a partnership to benefit both their student bodies. Students who transfer from Shelton to ASU, or vice-versa, will have a much easier process.

This will also open up potential scholarship opportunities from both colleges. One of the presidents said this partnership is key to helping their students.

“Student success is what it’s all about, giving them to opportunity to expand to do anything that they’d like to do, and we wanted to be one of those options at Alabama State University,” said ASU president Quinton Ross.

This is Shelton State’s third partnership with another college. Today’s agreement begins immediately.
