SECOND MISSING PERSON FOUND DEAD AFTER CANOE CAPSIZES ON LAKE GUNTERSVILLE

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Authorities say they’ve found the bodies of two people who were missing after a canoe capsized on Lake Guntersville.

Local media report rescue crews on Tuesday found the body of 16-year-old boy Austin Stevens and then found the body of his stepfather, 36-year-old David Lenz, a few hours later.

Authorities say the two were in a canoe Monday afternoon with two other teens when a storm blew in and caused the boat to overturn.

The other two teens made it to safety. Rescuers found a 15-year-old girl on the banks of the lake and a 17-year-old boy on a walking trail Monday.

Rescue crews halted their search around 10:30 p.m. Monday and returned first thing Tuesday.
