SEC TOURNAMENT ALLOWS UA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM A FINAL SHOT
The Alabama woman basketball team travels to Greensville, South Carolina, to face the Vanderbilt Commodores on Wednesday, March 6.
Tipping off at approximately 12:30 p.m., Alabama procured the lead after wearing out Vandy by 19 points less than two weeks ago in Nashville. The Bama women will be the No. 11 seed in the Southeastern Conference Tournament and will take on the No. 14 seed in Vanderbilt. The Tide comes in with a 13-16 record, but head coach Kristy Curry said on Monday that this tournament offers the team a chance at a brand new season.
“Our preseason is season one and the regular season is season two and now we have an opportunity int he tournament for season three,” said Curry. “It’s a brand new season; we’ve had lots of lessons.”
