UPDATE: Search continues for missing Alabama student
Tuscaloosa Fire Chief Randy Smith said their search of the Black Warrior River for a missing University of Alabama student last seen early Sunday has thus far come up empty.
Divers, drones, boats and sonar are in use for the search, Smith said.
“We have no hard, concrete evidence he’s in the water,” Smith said. “But we’re covering all the bases.”

Garrett Winston James Walker, 20, was last seen leaving the Grey Lady bar on Greensboro Avenue around 1:15 a.m. Sunday.
His parents reported him missing after his phone was found Sunday afternoon near the Tuscaloosa Riverwalk.
Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and TPD are searching the river and surrounding areas this morning.
