SEARCH FOR SHOOTING SUSPECT

Investigators have obtained an Attempted Murder warrant and a Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle warrant on 27-year-old Samuel Enrique Ellis.
He’s also known as Ricky.

Police responded to Forrester Gardens Apartments just before 7:30 Monday night.
There, they found the 31-year-old victim with a gun shot wound to the head.
Authorities discovered the victim had pulled his vehicle into a parking lot when the suspect began firing.
After the victim got out of his vehicle, the suspect continued shooting then fled the scene.
Lieutenant Kip Hart with Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit says law enforcement has responded to numerous calls at Forrester Gardens.
They’ve been working with the property owner to hopefully reduce the number of incidents like this that happen there.

Ellis is considered to be armed and dangerous.
