SAMANTHA FIRE DEPARTMENT HOSTS BUS EXTRICATION TRAINING

Earlier this year a fatal Pickens County school bus wreck sent all 16 passenger to the hospital and killed the driver and now emergency responders are taking action.

The Samantha Fire Department teamed up with TNT Rescue and Advanced Rescue Solutions to host a school bus extrication training session.

Training proper usage of the tools needed for those types of situations.

Emergency responders got to cut open and practice on two school busses that were donated to them. 

Along with the Samantha Fire Department and surrounding departments in the area, Deputy Paramedics with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement were all in attendance.

Everyone learned thier role when encountering a situation like this.
