Nick Saban

Thursday morning. Alabama head football coach Nick Saban held a teleconference with the media.

Many topics were brought up pertaining to how the Alabama football team is handling the coronavirus pandemic. Saban said he hopes everyone is doing their part to help stop the spread of the virus.

“You know, our primary responsibility is the health and safety and wellbeing of our team, our staff and, you know, our families,” Saban said. “We’re taking the necessary steps to protect all those folks the best we can and hopefully our fans are going to be safe as well.”

Saban reiterated that it is going to take a Crimson Tide-sized effort to keep the pandemic at bay and he hopes Alabama fans worldwide are doing what they can to stop the spread of the virus.

“These are very challenging times,” he said. “We’ve never had to deal with things like this before, at least in my lifetime. There is a global effort to slow the spread of this virus and, you know, all of us have to be responsible for the decisions that we make based on, you know, what our responsibility is to do just that.”
