A pint-sized pony who led police on a late-night chase last week has his name back alongside a brand new home.

The miniature horse Tuscaloosa Police dubbed Ginuwine is actually named Knight, and he’s around 4 years old.

After his capture, which was widely shared on social media, Ginuwine/Knight was taken to Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa where he awaited news of his owner.

Knight’s owner is allowing him to stay with TROT, which is a nonprofit organization in Cottondale that offers riding lessons as therapy for children and adults with disabilities.

If you’re interested in meeting the man himself, TROT is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and free for children.

All charges against the pony have been dismissed, TPD says.
