ROCK QUARRY BASEBALL TEAM DOING MORE THAN PLAYING THE GAME

Thirty-eight seventh- and eighth-graders from Rock Quarry Middle School’s baseball team volunteered at United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama Sunday. Students painted, planted and cleaned up UCP’s grounds.

“They want to be able to help their community,” said Rock Quarry Head Coach Cody Ingram. “They want to be able to represent Tuscaloosa City Schools and Rock Quarry and they’re just really excited to be able to serve. Hopefully we can continue and get other people involved as well.”

Ingram said the team’s goal is helping with three volunteer projects this year.
