TUSCALOOSA— Rise School of Tuscaloosa will be holding their annual silent auction Chip In For Rise. The auction will be held on Oct. 1 and Oct 2.
The Rise Program is a nationally recognized early childhood education program dedicated to excellence, service and teaching. This program serves children with disabilities and always offers services for those who do not have them.
This year the auction will be held for 46 hours straight in celebration of their 46 years of service in Tuscaloosa.
People will be able to bid auction items in person and online.
Andy Gillen, director of the Rise Program, said that the fundraiser means a lot for the center, but the students benefit from it as well.
Community support for this fundraiser will allow Rise to continue therapy services for their kids.
If you are interested in registering for the auction, please do so online via their website at www.risecenter.ua.edu or call 205-348-7931 for more information,
