RISE CENTER SERVES UP EDUCATION, GOURMET DISHES AT FUNDRAISER
Chefs from all over the nation shared their specialty dishes to raise money for the RISE Center in Tuscaloosa.
<p></p><p>Of the many chefs, Bill Brown from Nashville’s Westhaven Golf Club made a fried chicken dish with green tomato and a hot spicy oil.</p>
Guest were entertained with live music along with a silent auction. All proceeds made from the evening went toward the center.
”The center is like a distant cousin to Disney World because it is so wonderful to get to go there every day,” parent Kelly Johns said.
The RISE Center is a model for the country and has been duplicated seven times. The center provides physical, occupational, speech, language and music therapy all while in a classroom setting.
The center is for early childhood and special development.
