RIDING WITH CLAIRE

Riding his bicycle, a Maryland man is slowly but surely making his way to Tuscaloosa from Charleston, South Carolina. He’s calling his journey “Riding with Claire.”
Fifty-nine-year-old Rocky Wagonhurst lost his daughter Claire Marie last year to melanoma.

Rocky Wagonhurst began his trek on September 11th and is scheduled to arrive in Tuscaloosa on Saturday the 19th just in time to see the Alabama Crimson Tide face off against Ole Miss in Bryant Denny Stadium.

Rocky Wagonhurst will be Tuscaloosa bound from Calera on Saturday morning to witness the game he promised to attend with his daughter Claire.

If you’d like to welcome Rocky and Claire to Tuscaloosa on Saturday, their tent will be set up at Little Hall.
Rocky will be joined by members of the UA Club Triathlon team during the last stretch of the ride to escort him to campus and welcome Claire to UA.
