REWARD INCREASE IN CATES CASE

After five months of uncertainty, the reward for substantial information in the death of Eric Cates and his dog Gypsy has increased from $5,000 to $25,000.
Walker County Sheriff James Underwood tells WVUA23 new information in the case was gathered from three polygraph tests just last week.
In the last month, Underwood says investigators confirmed more information through polygraph testing as well.
We spoke with Eric Cates’ mother Tobbie Stover who says life without her son and Gypsy is not the same. She thinks knowing who is responsible for their deaths  will help the family move on.

If you have any information that could assist law enforcement in this case you are asked to call the Walker County Sherriff’s Office at (205) 384-7218
