REVITALIZATION PLANS FOR WEST TUSCALOOSA

West Tuscaloosa could soon see some major developments.

This comes after proposals for a revitalization plan for West End.

One of West Tuscaloosa’s main attraction is the cash strapped Stillman College.

During Tuesday’s Public Projects Committee Meeting, the council voted to hire a firm to do a blight study.

“If you look at the Greater Downtown Plan, The Riverfront Master Plan, obviously there are great things that happened, lessons to be learned but, if you look at those projects they were all
area specifics and that’s not different from what we are proposing for western tuscaloosa”

The city will now go into negotiation with CMH Architects to come up with a cost to do the study.
