RESIDENTS SPEAK OUT WARE VIDEO RELEASED
Chief Steve Anderson says the family of Anthony Dewayne Ware was offended by some of the language and conversation from officers during the arrest.
Anderson says the officers were talking before they realized Ware was in any distress.
Ware told officers he was having some shortness of breath.
He died last Friday night after Tuscaloosa Police responded to a call at Crescent East Apartments about the whereabouts of a wanted suspect who was in possession of a gun.
When police arrived, Ware fled into nearby woods.
